Which WR/TE to start?

Postby jdshaw30 » Thu Nov 12, 2009 3:34 pm

I have a WR/TE slot I need to fill before tonight's game. Should I start Earl Bennett or Greg Olsen?

This is complicated by the fact that I have 2 "iffy" WRs this week as well: Brandon Marshall and Justin Gage. If healthy, Marshall is a no brainer to start - which I will probably plan on doing, since he sounds more probable than... Gage, who has been hot, but doesn't sound so good, as reports are that he wasn't moving very well after sitting out practice yesterday.

So, should it be Marshall and Bennett or Marshall and Olsen?

Thanks in advance. I'll try to help you in return if you leave a link.

Tought spot...

See if there is any new info on Gage today about his status

I would go with Olson no matter what

Depending on how bad Gage is looking the safest play would be to play bennet as well and not have to worry on Sunday. Plus Gage will be going up against a pretty decent Buffalo secondary. SF has been strong on the run so Cutler will have to throw a lot and I don't think the SF D has been that great on the pass

Thanks. SDGIS, you say Olsen no matter what. I should have mentioned that I have Witten in my TE slot as well. So, you're saying go with Marshall and Olsen (and V. Jackson, which is a no brainer... and Witten in the TE slot)?

I usually don't pick TEs over WRs, but Olson will get more targets and should be the safer bet

Olsen for sure.....and just so you know JUSTIN GAGE IS VERY UNLIKELY for Sunday. I'd go with Olsen AND Bennett since Gage is prolly gonna be out.

thanks for the help with mine

I like Olsen. Will get his share of looks with short passes and will be a primary target in red zone. With Bennett who knows? He will split with Knox and it's more of a crapshoot.

good luck

thanks for help with mine
