Week 10 - Romo or Rivers? WHIR

Postby fanghsu » Fri Nov 13, 2009 8:39 pm

Should I start

Tony Romo @ GB
or
Phillip Rivers vs. PHI

I think this is a coin toss, but I'm favoring Rivers at home. However, I feel the Eagles defense is stronger than GB. Who would you start?

Also, I'm starting Vincent Jackson while my opponent this week is starting Roy Williams.

I'd go with Rivers, but both are pretty good options.

I would go with Romo. I think Philly might give Rivers a hard time. Help me please:

coin flip but i like Rivers this week. not by much. i like his two 6'5' receivers and Gates. at HOME.
Romo is in Lambeau. and inspite of that could go wild. i still like Rivers.

Thanks for your help earlier!

Two hot hands, no doubt. My only question would be, does your league penalize for INTs and sacks?

I think Rivers will have a good game, because I doubt the Chargers will be able to maintain a ground game vs. that aggressive Philly DST and they'll be forced to throw the ball. The negative side of that equation is Rivers getting dumped behind the line, after which he's prone to forcing a bad ball into coverage. He'll probably win with a clutch throw at the end, but the potential negative points may spoil your day.

On the other side, the GB DST just made Tampa Bay's rookie QB look pretty good. With the Dallas front harassing Rodgers, it's not hard to imagine Romo and company looking at some short field opportunties tomorrow.

I'd play Romo while he's hot, trade him right before his schedule gets much tougher, and ride Rivers to the playoffs.

Good luck!

The Rivers - VJAX combo has been money all year, why stop now? Dallas is in a trap game and on the road, never like those situations.
