Ward/Eagles for Breaston/Smith WHIR

An update to a trade I've been working on. I play in a league that starts 2 QBs and 3 WRs with standard scoring plus .5 ppr. A team in need of a QB offered me Devin Hester and the Eagles defense for Alex Smith and Breaston.

My Team:
QBs: Schaub, Cutler, Smith
WRs: Wayne/Steve Smith (Carolina), Breaston, Evans

I declined, so he came back with Hines Ward instead of Hester. I'm thinking I do that.

Agree? Ward > Breaston? Or does the easy Cardinals schedule make me keep Breaston?

An I giving up to much for a potentially lateral deal? Is Hester > Breaston?

I actually like Breaston over Hester. So I would stay put. Thanks for your help with mine.

The Eagles D gives that side the best face value as opposed to a bench QB in most leagues in Smith, but given your roster (Broncos' D has had a couple bad games but isn't bad), I don't think you'd actually improve much, plus as has been mentioned, Breaston may be better than Hester.

I'd stand pat.

I agree with everyone else I would just stay with what you have it doesn't improve you that much.

I'd still try to shop Smith, but I don't really think this is much of an upgrade for you. I'd stay put

I wouldn't do it. Ward and Breaston are pretty similar. thanks for your help with mine.

I think this helps you out a lot if you are getting Ward, you won't play Smith and Ward is a big upgrade over Breaston what are you other guys on?? Boldin has been banged up and just getting back into things this takes away from Breaston and plus under your league setting Ward gets you at least two extra points a game which I think is more than worth it considering you won't even start one of the guys you are trading away. Take it and enjoy win win for you

I would do it, too. You really don't need Smith now that BYE weeks are done, and Ward is solid. Thanks for the help.

I like Ward. I'd take the trade. Do you really need the eagles D? Can you get one else that you need instead?

On a side note, I've never played a 2 QB league, but I'm amazed at how that setup totally alters the weight of trade situations.
