Jackson for Brees, Grant & Boldin WHiR

Postby Lando50 » Tue Nov 17, 2009 10:33 pm

This is a standard Yahoo! league + .5 ppr

He gets:
Steven Jackson

I get:
Drew Brees
Ryan Grant
Anquan Boldin

My team:
QB: Rogers, Palmer
RB: Jackson, LDT, Ricky Williams, Jamal Lewis, Mike Bell
WR: Wes Welker, TJ Housh, Austin Collie, Lee Evans, Nate Washington

Should I do this and look to trade either Rogers or Brees?

I would lean towards the don't do it side, but I would consider it if you are positive that you can move one of those QBs

Boldin has been average at best
Grant is solid but not spectacular
and you don't need a QB with Rogers on your roster.

It also would depend on what you start each week.

I wouldn't do it unless you know you can trade a QB to upgarde other positions. I just don't think it adds enough to your lineup.

I could toss in Rogers and see what else I could get from him.

This is also a keeper auction league, so I could keep Brees for $0 against my cap, but keeping Rogers or Jackson would cost $$ against my cap next year.

Here is his roster, any ideas for counter offers?

Drew Brees
Reggie Wayne
Brandon Marshall
Ryan Grant
Joseph Addai
Brent Celek
Anquan Boldin
Miles Austin
Nate Burleson
Eli Manning
Chester Taylor
Carnell Williams
David Garrard

Not positive how much everyone costs or how many you keep but I still think I would stick with Jackson. Your team looks good for a run in the playoffs and Jackson gives you a big time #1 RB and there are only like 4 of those in the league. I generally like to play for the win now as much as I can.

i would stick with what you got. grant is a downgrade and boldin won't do too much better then what you have and rogers and palmer are soild.

Keep waht you have since Rodgers is just as good if not better than brees and boldin isn't as good as he looks. Plus Ricky will be starting with brown out for a couple weeks.
