Flex Help! WHIR :)

Postby rukkus » Wed Nov 18, 2009 10:58 am

Hi guys,

I have a pretty important game coming up this weekend that could have major playoff implications. I am trying to decide who to start for my flex position. The league scoring gives the same values for receiving and rushing touchdowns and yardage, however you also get .5 points per reception.

Choices below are in the order I like them, but I'd love your feedback:

Cadillac vs. NO

Lee Evans @ JAC

Santonio Holmes @ KC

Jonathan Stewart vs. MIA

Jamaal Charles vs. PIT

Thanks guys, please leave a link and I'll do my best to help you out as well! ;-D

thanks for helping with mine. I'll try to help with yours.

In a ppr league I would probably go with Holmes, but can make a case for Evans as well

Holmes has an easy match up, but for whatever reason Big Ben isn't looking his way as much. Maybe this is his break out game? Pitt might jump out to a lead and run the ball more. Bit of a gamble

I have not paid too much attention to Evans, but I know from years past he is either great or a dud, not much in between. He was great last week, so maybe they'll throw the ball his way once again? He could be on a role or a one week wonder. bills will probably be losing and have to throw the ball. Bit of a gamble.

I do not know how Caddilac has been this year, but if he's catching balls out of the back field consitently that is always great in PPR. I just don't know enough about him, but NO D has been solid this year.

I wouldn't go with Charles against pitt or Stewart because he's #2 on the depth chart.

I'd go with Holmes just on my gut feeling.

I'd go with Santonio Holmes as he's due for a HUGE game and the Chiefs can't cover anyone. Jonathan Stewart would be a close 2nd b/c unlike other #2 RBs he actually gets the ball in the endzone on a regular basis. DeAngelo Williams is banged up too!

Thanks for hitting mine! ;-D

Thanks for the help with mine. I would roll the dice on Santonio Holmes this week.

I would go with Stewart first, then Holmes second. The .5 points for receptions are nice, but like someone mentioned before, I can see the steelers running a lot vs. the Chiefs.

Stewart
Holmes
Evans
Charles
Caddy

I also give the edge to Stewart out of this group. As a DeAngelo Williams owner, I have often cringed to see Stewart brought in during goalline situations. I think he is more likely to get you a score than Holmes ... as the Steelers are bound to go to their ground game. ((apparently, Pittsburgh's OL is fuming over the playcalling ... they were hand picked and put together to protect the rush and they are not all about this new look trust Big Ben BS. We'll see if Tomlin is receptive to the team's dismay))

Evans did look good last week. Unfortunately, the best QB he has throwing to him is Fred Jackson.

I think J. Stew is in for a big game.
