Slaton Trade

Postby dblj9911 » Thu Nov 19, 2009 6:45 pm

I'm in a dynasty league, 10 team, start qb, wr (3), rb (2), te (1), k (1), idp(2), keep our entire roster and have a 3 rd rookie draft each year. Standard scoring league, 6pts all tds, 0.5ppr league.
I'm currently in first place, 9-1, leading the league in scoring, but lost R. Brown to injury and don't have another rb behind my big two. So what are peoples thoughts on Steve Slaton? I can get him for my 1st rd draft pick next year, most likely the #10 pick unless my team falls apart. So would he be worth it? Taking a rookie at 10 is a crap shoot, so to me once Slaton get's over his fumbling problem he can be a top back and help my team in the future. Thanks for looking, WHIR.
Roster
QB- Palmer, Eli, Orton, Ryan
WR- Fitz, Calvin, Colston, S. Rice, Massoqui, Schilens
RB- AP, DWill, R. Brown, M. Bush, Caddy, B. Scott, Snelling
TE- D. Clark, O. Daniels
K- Longwell, Brown
IDP - Willis, Beason, Ryans

I live in Houston and the word here is that Slaton is still the future of the Texans running situation. Id go for it. Slaton didnt have this fumbling problem last year, so I think he can fix the problem.

Thanks for your help!

Slaton>>>>>>>>>> 1.8, 1.9, or 1.10 rookie picks. If you can get it done I would do it. He would be a great 3rd back for the rest of the year for you... and he obviously has long-term upside as well.
