I can see this guy's line of reasoning. OAK seems like a better matchup for a QB than BAL. However, OAK is giving up 211 pass yds a game while BAL is giving up 208, so they are both pretty decent against the pass. Even assuming Palmer getting a larger workload this week due to injuries at RB, you can't sit Manning. Yeah, Palmer could out perform him, but there is a better chance of Manning throwing 3 scores w/ 300 yds, and then you'll look like a dork. Go with Manning.

Like the others have said, you only play the matchups when the two players in question are comparable. Usually you start your star players no matter what.

You never bench Peyton, leave him in there and keep Carson just in case Peyton gets injured or Indy decides to bench him Week 16 because Indy has clinched a first round bye.

I would actually make the argument that Peyton has the better matchup. Oakland and Baltimore actually have very comparable pass defenses in terms of yards allowed. Cincy might choose to run the ball more against Oakland.

Yes, you should bench Peyton. Here are some other things you should do immediately:

1) Buy as much stock as you can in US Manufacturing.
2) Refinance your mortgage to one of those nifty ARM's that are out there.
3) Pick up a shiny brand new SUV.
4) Slap yourself in the face.
