Like the others have said, you only play the matchups when the two players in question are comparable. Usually you start your star players no matter what.
You never bench Peyton, leave him in there and keep Carson just in case Peyton gets injured or Indy decides to bench him Week 16 because Indy has clinched a first round bye.
I would actually make the argument that Peyton has the better matchup. Oakland and Baltimore actually have very comparable pass defenses in terms of yards allowed. Cincy might choose to run the ball more against Oakland.
