Big Ben Trade WHIR (Always)

Postby djadrock » Sat Nov 21, 2009 5:29 am

I am in a PPR dynasty league (1PPR, 1/25 passing, 6/all TD, 1/10yds rushing and receiving). I am stacked at QB (Schaub, Palmer, Big Ben). I have been offered a no. 1 pick in the rookie draft for Big Ben straight up. Should I take it? I am rolling with Schaub and Palmer isn't a bad backup. I don't have a no. 1 as it was swapped with a no. 2 in a trade to get Boldin.

My initial thoughts are that this will help me in the long run. The other team will have the 4 or 5 pick and I could get a young RB or WR to build with. Then with his other pick in the 2nd round I could draft one of the young QBs or even pickup Jason Campbell in hopes that he will be better with another team (SF? STL?).

Any thoughts are appreaciated! WHIR! THANKS!

Yes, this benefits your team. You can use that first round draft pick to draft a good young WR which IMO you'll need. You have a RB core to carry your team for the next 5 years.

ADP, Benson/scott, moreno, forsett are all young backs who are on the brink or already establsihed fantasy stars.

You deal from strength to gain what you need.

This makes sense for the both of you. Go for it.

Even better if that's Donald Brown.

I voted "yes". You're pretty set at QB, and the #1 pick could actually turn out to be a really good (or even great) player.

Thanks. That fell through because he traded for Peyton instead. I did get Vincent Jackson for Big Ben. So, my receiving corps look much better.
