I enjoy Jim Rome. I like his brashness. I like his suits. I've listened to him since 1998 when I moved to Virginia and I started to get ESPN radio. He was different than anyone else at the time.

If you don't like Rome, than I would wonder if you like Colin Cowherd, either. They seem to be cut from the same cloth as well. Strong opinions. Tells it like they see it. Each has a distinct voice. I like him. I also like Guy Fieri as well, though.

I agree that Mike and Mike are the best on radio right now. And that Caliendo clip is awesome.

Cowherd can be borderline for me, but here's why he's way more listenable
a) he doesn't try to artificially lower his voice to sound more manly because he got bitchslapped by a professional athlete the way Rome does
b) he's quicker on his feet and doesn't pause for 15 seconds every two minutes
c) he doesn't give himself his own lame assed nickname "pimp in a box"
d) he doesn't use nicknames for everything else and every notable athlete (he tends to just call Manny Ramirez "Manny Ramierz" instead of "Man-Ram"
e) he is way smarter than Rome
f) he doesn't have the little wannabe gay-pornstar goatee that he "just for men's" every night

Jim Rome probably "orders a 'Za" instead of ordering a pizza.
