Which RB2 and WR3 to start (WHIR)

Postby ampant » Tue Nov 24, 2009 7:01 pm

10 Team money league. full ppr (for sure starters in bold)

WRs
A Johnson
Wayne

Cotchery v CAR - CAR is the #3 ranked defense vs Fantasy WRs. Still, is Sanchez's go-to dude.Seems . . . safe
Holmes @ BAL - Pretty sure I am NOT starting him with the 3rd string QB slinging the ball.
Avery v SEA - At home. Great matchup (SEA ranked 30th vs Fantasy WRs). Boller throwing the ball though . . . and Avery has been inconsistent, not topping 100 yards in a game all season. I almost feel like starting Brandon Gibson instead.
Chambers @ SD - on the road vs the 6th defense vs fantasy WRs. Not a great matchup, but he has had 2 great games and a decent game since his trade, and his targets figure to go up with Bowe suspended. Plus he is playing his old team.

RBs

Addai

McCoy v WAS - At home, but WAS is the 5th ranked D vs fantasy RBs . . . but is on a better offense
Charles @ SD - Better matchup on the road. . . SD is ranked 21st vs fantasy RBs . . . will the Chiefs be able to move the ball?
Pretty sure I am starting McCoy.

Leave a link . . . WHIR

I like McCoy, I think SD's D has really picked it up the last few weeks & that stat doesn't show the whole picture. I also like Avery even w/ Boller vs Seattle

Go with McCoy. Eagles have a much better chance of being ahead and running the ball. Also, I would take a chance on Avery because of matchups and because Sanchez is sketchy and Big Ben is out.

actually after thinking more Chambers might be the better choice PPR, Chiefs will be playing from behind and he is their best reciever.

Definitely roll with McCoy. I think Charles will play well, but if you ask me if I want to mess with the Eagles or the Chiefs, I'll say the Eagless 110% of the time.

I really don't like Chambers despite his recent upswing. Maybe I'm biased because I've owned him in the past and seen his boom-or-bust tendencies in action all too often, but I just can't trust the dude. Holmes is an obvious no-go with Dixon starting, although FWIW he'd be the easy start if Big Ben were playing. Avery is too hit-or-miss for my liking, and Boller only makes me more leary of playing him here. I love his matchup, but we all know the pass is a virtual afterthought in STL these days. That leaves us with Cotchery. Awful matchup, but I see him going for 50 yards and a TD, which is more than I can say for the rest of your crew. If Sanchez is throwing, Cotchery will likely be the one doing the catching.
