Postby Tom Emanski AllStars » Wed Nov 25, 2009 10:19 am

deadline is a 12 eastern, this offer was just proposed to me:

i give: deanglo williams
i get: matt schuab

small league (8 teams), and I'm fairly stacked at RB...i'm trying to plan for the playoffs
1pt for 50 passing yds; 3pt bonus over 300; 6pt passing td
1pt for 20 rushing yds; 2pt bonus over 100; 6pt rushing/receiving td

schuab playoff matchups (sea, stl, mia)
mcnabb playoff matchups (nyg, sf, den)
d.williams (ne, min, nyg)
b.jacobs (phi, was, car
f.gore (ari, phi, det)

EDIT: i couldn't pull the trigger, though i probably should have (especially with d.williams playoff schedule)...but something in my gut kept saying no

my team
qb: mcnabb
rb: AP
rb: d.williams
w/r: f.gore
wr: a.boldin
wr: r.white
te: k.winslow
def: chargers

bn: b.jacobs
bn: a.bradshaw
bn: b.wells
bn: TO
bn: braylon edwards
bn: jason witten
bn: ravens

For Brady, yes I would.

If that's the only QB upgrade you can get, I'd still do it, you have RB depth.

If you do the deal cut one of your remaining QBs for a replacement RB.

You looked stacked at rb..Gore seems to have an easy playoff run.. Schaub is playing good right now...I always worry about McNabb....Looks like you will improve..good luck

Try for Brady or grab Schaub if he won't budge...

I'd like to see Brady instead of Shaub. However you're going to improve with either. Even if you did Gore for Brady.

Most Brady owners won't budge on him (me included) :-D

i would love to repropose it, but the trading deadline for the league has come and went.

here's my reasons for declining it; feel free to disagree
1) PHI has been throwing the ball 40-50 times a game. i figured mcnabb had just as good as a chance as schuab as putting up good numbers; granted schaub has the easier playoff opponents
2) I need to win this week and next week to even get into the playoffs; and with d.williams and b.jacobs gimpy legs, I need all the help I can get these next 2 weeks
3) i was also hoping that d.williams gets hot like he did last year during the stretch run

thoughts?
