Please help my sputtering team! WHIR

Postby hutchdawg85 » Thu Nov 26, 2009 10:50 am

I am stacked at WR, but my RB's are suspect. This a standard scoring league (non-ppr). I can 2 rb's, 2 wr's, and 1rb/wr.

Here are my choices:

WR: M. Colston, G.Jennings, S. Rice, B. Marshall, A. Collie
RB: J. Charles, M. Forte, B. Wells, R. Cartwright, C. Taylor

So here is what I have right now

wr: Colston, Jennings
rb: Wells, Forte (?)
flex: Rice

Please leave a link and I will help in return.

I would start Rice as a receiver over Jennings, and I would start R. Cartwright or J. Charles at flex (coin toss). Otherwise, I think you're good.

Thanks for the help with mine. I think you have the right RBs - matchup-wise I don't think J. Charles gives you any help and I wouldn't trust Cartwright (or any Redskin for that matter). Stick with the Wells and Forte.

I would start cartwright in the flex. Not sure that Rice is consistent enough and Cartwright will have a very good day.

Thanks for the help with mine

Well thanks for the input, but Rice has been one of the best wr's in the league thus far.

Food for thought. I like Wells since it appears Hightower is out. I’m not too excited about Forte. The Bears should be playing catch-up all day so Cutler will probably throw the ball 50 times, a few of them to Bears, and not so much handing off to Forte until they are 1st and goal inside the 5.

I’m thinking that Cartwright will get plenty of carries and more carries equals more chances for yards and scores. I think Charles will get carries but KC will be playing catch-up too. Taylor may spell a spent Peterson late in the game but maybe not. If you lean toward the “more touches equals more chances” philosophy then Cartwright looks like a good bet. If you believe “things happen in threes” then Cartwright is destined to follow in the footsteps of Portis and Betts and be out of the game early in the first quarter.

I would go with Cartwright over Forte with Rice in the flex.

If you get a moment take a look at my predicament at the link below. Thanks!

HOLD ON a minute....where does it say that Hightower is out?

Oh yeah - I'd go with S Rice, seems you're stuck with the Jennings numbers now (not great, not awful). If this Hightower story is true, then Wells and Charles. Otherwise, Forte and Charles. Good luck!
