Tough call. I can't justify Rock Cartwright so it comes down to Bell or Pierre and I think Pierre is the better option. New Orleans will score and this promises to be a scoring fest so I'd go with the better back on New Orleans. Thomas catches more passes out of the backfield and Bell seems to be the 4th quarter option in blowouts more than the every down back.

I don't think Cartwright is a good option vs. a tough Philly D...go with the best RB on a high-scoring team...Thomas will get the catches and most of the carries in a shootout...Bell gets most of his #'s in garbage time, and there won't be any in that game...

Non PPR, Bell, by far. He will pound the ball and when all is said and done, 70 yds, and a TD. Not great but IMO, better than the other options.


Now if this were a PPR, I go Thomas for the simple fact that he will have atleast 5 catches.

First, I must say this is my rookie season as a Fantasy owner. That said, I don’t know the difference between PRR and non-PRR league. My league is the standard free league on ESPN. Clearly, the PRR thing made a difference to at least one person that responded to your post. I will do a little online research into the PRR thing.

If you subscribe to a “more touches equals more chances for yards and scores” philosophy then Rock is the man. He may get more touches than Bell and Thomas combined. WAS has the #1 pass defense in the league so I don’t see PHI vs. WAS being any kind of a shootout. That SHOULD bode well for running the ball instead of throwing every down to outscore the other guys. For all of these reasons I’m trying to decide between the Rock and Meachem.

If you believe that NO will spread the wealth in a shootout with NE then I would probably go with Pierre. He is has more moves and quickness whereas Bell is more of a grind it out RB. Thomas is consistently getting more touches than Bell as well.

Gut check time. If you like the idea of many touches then Rock is your man. If you prefer going with a co-star in a large ensemble involved in a shootout of Biblical proportion then Pierre Thomas is the man for you.

I’m hoping for a NO vs. NE shootout. I have Brees, Welker and maybe Meachem (I’m trying to decide between Cartwright and Meachem for my flex.) I tend to subscribe to the more touches is better approach. Cartwright will get many touches but Meachem has been a TD machine as of late.

I’m also trying to decide on my defense. Please look at my link below. I would appreciate your feedback/thoughts.
