In playoffs and need help with choosing QB, RBs, and WRs

Need 1 QB: Warner or Alex Smith

I still have to wait and see how Warner is feeling, but I am thinking that even though Minn. has holes in their secondary, the risk of Warner not starting or getting shaken up during the game is too great. Plus, Smith's matchup this week against Seattle is not that bad...any thoughts.

Need 3 RBs: J. Addai, L. Maroney, M. Jones-Drew, or Ryan Grant

On paper, all four of these RBs seem like they could have decent games. I will definitely play MJD, but I am having a difficult time deciding between the other three. Maroney has been hot latlely, and I could see NE coming out with some motivation, but Miami generally plays NE rather tough. Addai has been consistent all year, so I am leaning toward starting him as well. Lastly, Grant is generally good for 10 or so, especially since he is practically their lone back. Furthermore, the weather in G.B will likely be cold and possibly wet, which could play into his favor. Baltimore has given up at least 10 points against RBs in all but three games (KC, and Cle 2x), but I don't know if Maroney and Addai would be better. I would appreciate any input.

Need 2 WRs: M. Sims Walker, M. Austin, J. Avant

MSW has been very good at home this year, so I could see him having another good game. My biggest concern with starting him is that since I will definitely be playing MJD, I am betting a lot on the Jaguars offense. Austin has been on and off as of late and seeing as how their game against the Giants has big implications I could see him doing very little or breaking out. Finally, I just picked up Avant this week. Assuming D. Jackson doesn't play, Avant and Maclin will likely be McNabb's major targets. Plus, Atlanta does not have a good passing defense, so one could easily justify starting Avant in this situation.

Thanks for your help.

Wow, big post. Reminds me of me, so I have to answer it. :-)

QB - I agree exactly with your thinking on Warner. Ok, so IF he starts, you won't know it until right before gametime of the Sunday night game, and if he's inactive, your choices are Matt Leinart or nothing, and you'd have to roster Leinart ahead of time to do it. And IF he starts, against a MIN pass rush that knows he's one solid hit away from being a spectator, then what? Hell, no one would admit doing it intentionally, but is it worth a well timed 15 yard roughing the passer flag to get him out of the game? Ummm....YES! I roll with Alex Smith and thank the FF gods that Singletary has seen the light with the spread offense.

RB - MJD and Addai are no-brainers, to me your choice is between Maroney and Grant. Raven run D not as good as it used to be, plus for Grant. Every down back, plus for Grant. Recent hot streak, plus for Maroney. Gets the ball in the red zone - BIG plus for Maroney. That's what tips the scales for me, Maroney is the guy. 8 TD's in his last 6 games.

WR - I don't have any issues with using two players from the Jags offense here, because it's a home game and a good matchup for them. MJD is going to get his basically no matter what. And for some reason David Garrard plays like an NFL QB at home, and a small time college QB on the road. I have MSW, and I'm still stabbing the Garrard voodoo doll with straight pins for that putrid second half against the Niners. I think Avant has a great opportunity here with DJax out, but Austin has been getting it done for longer, and I don't think the Giants can cover him. Austin is my pick here. Good luck!
