Garrard, Vince or Alex Smith?

Postby JethroSpanks » Fri Dec 04, 2009 9:05 pm

Matt Ryan is/was my QB1, but he's out this week. In a mad scramble I picked up David Garrard, Vince Young and Alex Smith. Who should I start?

I'm leaning towards Alex Smith as Seattle just doesn't like to play pass defense. SEA is very similar to the Jacksonville def that he lit up last week, the only difference is they're playing IN Seattle.

Garrard seems to be the second best option as Houston doesn't play much pass defense either and he's more of an option where I'll know kind of what to expect.

Vince is the real wild card and is in a hard spot IN Indianapolis. I like to kind of play it safe for the most part unless I just have one of THOSE feelings. Ya know?

Rest of my team:
WR -Sims-Walker, Sidney Rice, Andre Johnson
RB - Laurence Maroney, Steve Slaton (which I JUST found out I have to replace...ugh)
TE - Probably Heath Miller
K - Stover
DEF - MINN

I'm barely holding on to a playoff spot right now.

PLEASE HELP!

I think I lean towards Alex Smith over Garrard. It's pretty close to the same with both QBs having good matchups, stud RBs, and strong receiving options. Garrard might need to put up more points though since the opposing offense he's going up against is better than Smith's. The 49ers are probably a little more consistent though.
