PPR Flex options to get into the playoffs

Postby kingmike74 » Sat Dec 05, 2009 8:58 am

1 PPR league and with a win, I am in, a loss, I am out.

MJD & Rice are sure start for me.

Wayne at WR is a sure start.

So that leaves me with the following options at the RB/WR spot.

Ricky Williams v.s. NE
Jonathan Stewart v.s. TB
Anquan Boldin v.s. MIN

Williams is usually a must start but call me crazy, I think he gets shut down by the Pats. Ricky's worst game this year was against the Pats.

If Williams is out for CAR, I am going to have a hard time sitting Stewie v.s. TB, he will tear them up IMO to the tune of 120+ with 2 TD's

I think Boldin is good for atleast 6 catches and 80 yards with Leinart, and 20% more and a TD or 2 with Warner.

I would roll with Stewart this week. He had a good game against Tampa last time and he should see alot of touches this week with Williams questionable.
I think the Pats are going to be pretty mad his week and torch the Dolfins.
Thanks for help with mine
Good luck

I can't imagine the Pats really shutting down Ricky however its begining to look more and more like Deangelo will be sitting out this week, he should anyways as there's no reason to risk furthering his injury against the lowly Bucs.

My pick is Stewart assuming he starts.

Ricky will wear down a thin NE defense, but if DWILL is out for sure you can't go wrong with Stewart. I hope they declare DWILL out in time to start Stew 'cause I have him too.

If DeAngelo plays, I'd go with Ricky. You know he's going to get a ton of touches.
If DeAngelo sits, roll with Stewart, Bucs are baaaddd.
Good Luck

I'm in a similar situation. Please have a look:

Yeah its close between ricky and stewart. Deangelo out then i'd go with stewart forsure, even with him in it's a near tossup between him and ricky, but I'd go with ricky if deangelo plays. I think both guys are goin to have field days either way. I dont think New England's D is particularly great this year, and ricky has been tearing up everyone and is a nice play against a somewhat mediocre NE run D. I wouldn't put any serious thought into Boldin as I think he's much more of a gamble then these other 2, and with the uncertain QB situation against MIN D, probably best to avoid with these 2 other options.
