QB dilemma and RB help; WHIR!

Postby DallasFan85 » Sun Dec 06, 2009 5:11 am

Hey all! Hope your matches this week will solidify playoff spots or byes. With Kurt Warner hurting, I have pretty much two choices at Qb right now; Alex Smith or Kyle Orton on the WW. Who do you think will put up better numbers? Also, my RB2 situation is decently grim; I need to pick from: Tim Hightower, Beanie Wells, Jason Snelling, Mike Bell, or someone like Jerious Norwood or Chris Brown on the WW. I really am not sold on starting any; although I think Mike Bell would be the most consistent to put up at least a few points along with some goal line opportunities. Thoughts? Whir!

Standard non-ppr 10 person Yahoo.com league, starting 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 rb/wr, 1 te, 1 k, 1 def.

Qb: Kurt Warner, Alex Smith
Rb: Maurice Jones-Drew, Tim Hightower, Beanie Wells, Jason Snelling, Mike Bell
Wr: Calvin Johnson, Roddy White, Hines Ward, Nate Burleson, Mario Manningham
Te: Dustin keller (Why Owen Daniels, why?)
K: Rob Bironas
Def: Dallas

I play Smith because I couldn't trust Orton at all. Even when they were winning it wasn't because Orton was putting up big numbers. Smith is more consistant (not big but ok numbers). I also like Bell off your list. I think the Saints will spend a bit more time on the ground then normal this week since the Skins are not very good a scoring points and with the short week they will just want to be done with this one. Good luck!

I agree I would go Orton and Snelling. I'm in the same position but with much worse options so I had to pick up Lienart.... :-o Hoping Warner plays tonight.
