Big Keeper Dilemma....

Postby coolgoose » Tue Dec 08, 2009 12:17 am

Rules:
Total Keepers - 3
If I keep a player I drafted in Rd 2 this year...I lose that round's pick next year.
We can keep at most 2 players of 1 position out of 3. ie not all RBs or WRs etc.

I will surely Keep CJohnson (Rd 2). He helped me top my league so far :)

For other 2 players I need help picking from
Larry Fitz (Rd1)
A Rodgers (Rd3)
G Jennings (Rd 3)
K. Smith (Rd 5)
D Mc Fadden (Rd 7)
B. Wells (Rd9)
V.Davis (Rd 16)
J Charles (Rd 16)

----------- My Roster -----------
12 Team - 3Keeper - H2H - Passing 6pts/TD. Rec/Rush 6pt/TD. 1QB, 2WR, 2RB, 2W/R/T, 1K, 1DEF, 6 BENCH
QB - A. Rodgers
2 WR - L. Fitzgerald, G. Jennings,
2 RB - C. Johnson, K. Smith.
TE - V. Davis.
FLEX - C. Wells.
FLEX- J. Charles
K - J Reed.
DEF - San Diego.
DEF M. Hasslebeck, C. Portis, D. McFadden, S. Morris, Arizona, Tennessee.

This is a hard one as if you don't want to lose a round pick in the first round. I would definitely go with Rodgers. As for the other, I would either go for Fitz or if I were you, I would just take Vernon Davis and take another first round pick next year. That would probably be my move...

Rodgers (2nd)
C. Johnson (3rd)
Davis (16th)

This way, you get a first round pick.

Yes Rodgers has been super consistent...and with a better offensive line should not do too bad next year either.

While Fitz might depend on whether Warner stays and if he doesnt then how well Leinart does. And with 1st Round I might be able to grab Fitz....have to study other team's potential Keepers as well.

V. Davis has been as good as a borderline WR1 and as a Rd 16 pick...theres nothin much to lose with him.

Thanks for the input :)

I'd keep Bonzi and Charles for the value

C. Johnson (2nd)
Rodgers (3rd)
Davis (16th)

This way, you get a first round pick. Or if you are winning your league then you will have a late 1st rounder next yr. In that case, take Fitz over CJ.

Chris Johnson, Jamaal Charles and Vernon Davis.
Put this off for as long as you possibly can and wait and see what KC does in the draft/FA. If you have a late keeper date and Charles resumes feature back duties I'd keep him.

However, if you have an early date keep Rodgers instead.

Excellent Thoughts everyone...

Based on Jamaal Charles performances lately....I had also Shortlisted
CJ (Rd 2),
JamaalCharles (Rd 15) and
Vernon Davis (Rd 16).

Well I am league's commish :p and plans are to have Keeper names turned in a month before next regular season...so every1 will have enough time to check new rankings and off season moves !

Also, with my progress to Playoff Semis...I wud be ranked somewhere between 9-12 in next season's draft picks. So will decide which WR or QB I want in round 1.

Thanks....
