RD1 of 3, playoffs! WDIS? RB/WR/TE

Postby Salridge » Tue Dec 08, 2009 7:29 am

League is 10 man, pay - money league. For this reason I am really looking to win this week to have a chance at some money.

Scoring is 6pts td, 15yards=1 pts for RB/WR yards, 25 yards for RB's. Returns get points for TD's only (6 pts)
(Pick 1, but it's allready picked and I don't see anyone disageeing I think)
QBs: (not really in question, I am keeping Smith for up-tick next year in possible dynasty switch if he stays good)
Tony Romo VS SD (Starting)

RBs: (Pick 2)
Mendenhall @ CLE (leaning towards starting high here)
J. Stewart @ NE (Had a great game last week when I had slaton in and slaton is injured so learning heavy towards him)
Steve Slaton VS SEA (Injuried, didn't play last week and cost me points)
Kevin Smith @ BAL (Haven't started him yet, was a FA pickup just depth won't start him here because of the matchup)
Justin Forsett @ HOU (A splitter with jjones but has done good when in)

WRs: (Pick 3)
Fitz @ SF (Monday night, I am seeing him get big yards, and because he is Fitz is always a starter)
V. Jackson @ DAL (Been a bit slow lately for him, thinking of putting in Meachem here)
M. Austin VS SD (Been doing really well or really bad, but hot lately I don't think he would be good to bench)
Meachem @ ATL (Great last week and going to be against ATL which is a good matchup)

(Pick 1)
TE:
Celek @ NYG
Winslow VS NYJ

K:
Kowski VS CAR (Really strange bad week for him this week, hope it doesn't continue)

D:
Denver @ INDY (Ok should I pick up another D and drop one of the above to switch out Denver due to the bad matchup?)

I say Mendy and Forsett. Although Stewart is a better player, I feel like NE will actually bounce back a little this week vs CAR.

For WR I say Austin, Meachem and Fitz. Vjax has been dropping the ball as of late and well we've seen what Fitz, Austin and Meachem can do.

Celek for your TE.

As for your D. I am going to suggest you drop Kevin Smith as he gets the Ravens, Cards and 49ers in three straight weeks. I don't see him having a good game in tany of them. I say you drop him and for this week grab the Titans vs STL

Thanks for the post Swat...

I did drop Smith for Forsett since you were right about his upcoming games, I can't see playing him over my other 3 backs. I did have the titans D before but dropped them and have them again now to start this week over STL.

So the main things are...

V Jackson VS Meachem

Slaton VS J. Stewart VS Forsett

I honestly still am leaning a little towards J Stewart only because Forsett might not be the starter and still splitting reps. If he was the main man he would be starting with Mendenhall.

Meachem for your WR. Simply too hot to sit and going against a Falcons D who has had trouble all year.

Just out of Curiousity, is Chris Brown of the Texans available? Slaton is hurt and he might not play another game this year.

If so I would go with Brown over Stewart (I wouldn't say this often, but would this week). If Brown is not available, I would personally go with Forsett as I feel NE will be pretty tough at home this week.

He is, but I don't think he is worth picking up. He got 6 carries to Mouts 16 carries. Why Brown? And Mouts isn't available...

Actually Moats is available, I didn't see him. Both only worth 6 points last week. I don't know if going against SEA will make up for them to do good.

Thing is though, the Seahawks on the road are terrible. I could be wrong but I would rather roll with Brown possibly this week over Stewart. That being said, if your gut tells you Stewart, I won't tell you to ever go against your gut.

RBs: Mendy and J Stew

WR: Larry, Austin, and Meachem

TE: Celek

and add Tennessee's defense for one of Slaton (depending on his injury and its length), Forsett (who for reasons beyond me is back to being a backup after JJ returned) or possibly Winslow who you may not even start again.

viewtopic.php?t=463858 (would appreciate some help too; from any of you)
