Week 14: Big Ben or Schaub?

Postby dzsman » Tue Dec 08, 2009 5:52 pm

Big QB decision as playoffs begin: (.5 PP Comp,/ 1 PP 50 yds passing / 6 PP TD)

Ben Roethlisberger @ CLE- He seems to be over the concussion and torched CLE week 6, but less than ideal weather + no Hines
Ward (Maybe Ben will call Hines out for his lack of toughness if he doesn't play?)
Schaub vs SEA- Good matchup indoors @ home- though still the inj. concern. I am starting to wonder if the vaunted Houston
offense will live up to the hype- no Owen Daniels + possibly no Slaton seem to make this offense rather pedestrian.

Playoffs begin this weekend so I'd like any input as I make this decision- I appreciate your help in advance!

I have Schaub in my league also and have the same doubts about him. I'm still going with him though..he still has Moats/Brown and any team with Andre Johnson should be able to pass the ball.

I think Schaub will have a great day! I am an Andre owner though so I am a little bias. Either of them is a good play. Schaub has more of a chance to blow up though I would say.

Schaub!

Pitt has tried the no huddle passing offense over the last month and have lost 4 straight. They will go back to pounding the ball with Mendenhall against a soft Browns team. Plus they will probably be playing with the lead and killing clock!

When Houston does score points its through the passing game. Seattle gives up a ton of points as well.

Looks like a Schaub in a landslide thus far.

Heavy winds + poss. snow forecast for PITT/CLE game, plus no word yet on Hines playing.

Not great news either for Schaub with Slaton placed on IR, buth they should still have enough firepower
to put on a good showing vs the Seattle D

Any other thoughts as we approach the THursday game...........
