week 14--giants steve smith or colston?--help! WHIR

i have to decide my flex spot this week for my standard PPR league. when the season began i couldn't have imagined asking this but here goes:

i have narrowed down who i would like to play for my flex between the giants steve smith and colston. believe it or not, i'm actually leaning towards smith. he seems to be mannings 1st option and sees a lot of targets. colston has been getting few looks lately and seems to be hanging on to fantasy viability my making the most of his 1 or 2 catches some weeks. the way i see it, colston has more of a chance to blow up but also to bust whereas smith seems like he could be a bit safer, even against a tough ealges D, based on the number of targets he's been seeing. am i crazy?

Any other WR's on the WW? I would go with Colston over Smith if I had to choose though. Much better matchup and a shootout likely.

I would go Colston against the Falcons pass D in a dome. The Giants game Sunday night will be cold with a chance of snow.

thank you all for your help. i understand what you're saying, but aren't you guys concerned about the sheer lack of targets colston is seeing? the caliber of defense the saints face means nothing, they can torch any D. but the way they spread the ball around seems to make any WR they have a risky play. if colston catches 2 balls and 1 of them isn't a touchdown he puts up close to zero! ....btw, thomas and charles/ white and boldin (see my post).

i see what your sayin about smith being targeted more but the way I see it is the Eagles know how much Smith is being targeted as well and will focus more on him maybe even doubling him. The Saints have so many weapons that the Falcons cant focus on just 1 guy. Colston is still Brees' favorite target and with the other guys doing so well these last few weeks its only going to open things up more for Colston.
