Not crazy, but there is always risk of huge dissapointment to benching a star like Wayne if they go off.

I did something else last week: I started both Wayne and Garcon, benching both steve smiths. I would have been better off to bench wayne though last week, as he was doubled all game. Teams focus on taking Wayne and clark away, and Garcon is making them Pay. Payton is exploiting that and you know he will as long as it is there for him to do so.

Wayne will be covered by Champ Bailey this week, will he be double covered on top of that? Or do they single Wayne with Bailey and double Garcon. I have Garcon in the with Wayne at the moment, Starting Harvin and garcon w/ wayne. Might plug in Meachem for the hell of it over wayne this week as you suggest.

If so, then This week I am going to Drop Steve Smith (car) and pick up Meachem. People in my league will jump all over S Smith, for name recognition. I do not see myself starting Smith the rest of the year, but I could see myself plugging meachem in this week vs ATL at least.

Only issue is once NO has nothing to play for, unless they want the perfect season, will they rest meachem Brees etc?

Britt is interesting because of the easier matchup this week, so hard to plug him in over a guy like Wayne.

Even with Bailey on him, Wayne one on one should be able to beat him at least enough to make some plays/score. Tough call. Good luck

You don't sit your studs! You cannot bench Wayne just because of one bad week. The more reason to start him because you know he's gonna bounce back..

Though, I do like your alternate options. Holmes, Welker, and Meachem are good starts. But I would not bench Wayne. Calling Meachem Brees' number one is a stretch. Brees likes to spread it around and in terms of pecking order, Colston is still Brees' number one.. That Saints team has so many options.. a different receiver goes off every week. Meachem has been hot.. but I think he's due to come back down to Earth.. and this week might be it..

Wayne, Welker, and Holmes would be my picks.
