Postby diehardff » Thu Dec 10, 2009 4:16 pm

My RBs are set with Ray Rice and Chris Johnson, I just have no clue what to do with my QB, WRs, TE, and Flex. Maybe you do?

TD heavy league. 50 yards for QBs. 20 yards for WR/RB/TE. Non-PPR.

QBs: Pick one
Flacco vs DET
ASmith vs ARI
Henne vs JAC

WRs: Pick 2
M. Austin vs SD
K. Britt vs STL
M. Crabtree vs ARI
J. Morgan vs ARI
D. Bess vs JAC
B. Hartline vs JAC

as always, WHIR
J. Avant vs NYG

TEs: Pick one
T. Heap vs DET
F. Davis vs OAK
K. Boss vs PHI
A. Fasano vs JAC

Flex: Pick one
Any of the remainders from WR/TE above, along with
C.Brown vs SEA (goal line vulture)

Flacco has regressed in a MAJOR way. I like A.Smith for some reason.

M.Austin is a hit or miss, but I would still roll with him. I also like Crabtree. 49ers are ballin' with that spread offense. Boss should come up big, because Philly really has a problem defending TE's...

Thanks for the help on mine...

At QB, I go 1) Smith, 2) Flacco, 3) Henne. SF has switched to the spread offense which Smith has done well in, adn it's giving him a lot of passing opportunities. Arizona, while good last week, still is not great vs. the pass. Flacco has a fantastic matchup, but I don't trust him.

WRs I go Austin and Britt. I think Austin, even though he has his down-weeks, is an every-week start. Britt is nice here in a TD heavy, non-PPR league as VY is looking his way, esp. at the goal line.

TEs go Boss. Philly is last in points allowed to opposing TEs, and even w/out that matchup Boss is arguably the best of the bunch.

For your flex, I actually would go w/ Chris Brown. He's going to see at least 50-60% of the RB touches w/ Slaton on IR now, and everything near the goalline. I always like RBs in the flex spot anyway.

Good luck..and thanks again.

QB - Smith, Flacco isnt what he was last year, he's got a great matchup, but I think its better for Rice then Flacco
WR - Austin, he's the #1 no matter what R Williams thinks. combined with that Romo likes throwing his direction
WR - Britt, purely on matchup, although I would also heavily think about Crabtree, especially if you think you are an underdog
TE - Boss, as stated, PHI doesn't defend the TE position well
FLEX - Brown, especially with Slaton on IR.

Is starting Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt a wise move? People have different opinions when it comes to starting players from the same team. I have a very deep league. 16 players, and TD heavy, as mentioned above. Seems like starting the entire offense of a great matchup is a good idea. Kinda like starting the entire Saints organization against DET, right?

Thanks for everyones help. WHIR, as always, so lets try to keep this thread going. With all of your help, I am currently running this lineup:

QB: ASmith vs ARI
WR: Austin vs PHI
WR: Britt vs STL
RB: CJohnson vs STL
RB: RRice vs DET
TE: KBoss vs SD

I am still stuck at the flex. I am between Chris Brown (increased role + goal line vulture) vs SEA and MCrabtree (SF will be throwing a lot as they will be playing from behind + MNF + I have ASmith so one TD counts as 2). Your Thoughts at FLEX ????

as always, WHIR
