Fantasy playoffs

Postby mshab61 » Fri Dec 11, 2009 12:29 pm

Fantasy playoffs are just around the corner and I think I might have a dilemma on my hands. My QB is Payton Manning and if they win this week (week14) vs. the Broncos they will have wrapped up home field advantage throughout the playoffs. My dilemma is: will the Colts rest Manning the remainder of the regular season with the fantasy playoffs starting next week? I don’t think they will shut him down completely but I can see them playing him for only one half or less. The only thing going in my favor is the “PERFECT SEASON” run which from what I’ve heard is not a priority for Bill Polian the Colts President. So I have a tough decision going forward, do I actually put Manning on the bench and put my playoff hopes on Kyle Orton the rest of the way? Or do I rely on the wavier wire and look for the best match up available in week 15? Orton has the Raiders next week. I could pick up the likes of Jason Campbell (vs. Giants), Matt Cassel (vs. Browns), Mark Sanchez (vs. Falcons), or Chad Henne (@ Titans). What would you do?

I would wait and see if you get any information later this week on the status of what the Colts will do. I have the same problem with Addai, but I am planning on sitting him and playing Moreno next week. It does not hurt if you have the bench space to go and pick up another QB just in Case. I am thinking that Cambell or Henne would be the best options. Help with mine:
