Week 15 RBs - WHIR

Postby dgcesq » Wed Dec 16, 2009 7:09 pm

Yahoo standard scoring league, 3 WRs, 2 RBs, 1 WR/RB. I've been riding Addai and either Forte or Slaton all year, with Bradshaw playing RB3 earlier in the season when he was hot. Forte's gone cold, and I dropped Slaton. This is the first week of our playoffs, and I need help. Of my WRs, I think I have to sit Sims-Walker - he's been cold, and he's playing a strong IND def this week. That means I have to start 3 RBs. I'm definitely playng Addai, and I've tentatively slated Ganther and Foster. Is there a stronger play? Ganther came up big for me last week, but plays NYG this week - a really tough matchup. Foster is a deep sleeper, but at least has a favorable matchup against St. Louis (and I think Moats and Brown are both in Kubiak's doghouse).

My WR/RB Roster:
RB: Forte, Addai, Bradshaw, Ganther, Busch, Foster
WR: Colston, Marshall, Sims-Walker, M. Austin

I like your WRs a lot, but yea you seem to have hit a troubled time for your RBs...
I'd go with Addai, Ganther, and then probably give the nod to Forte despite his recent play and the matchup vs. Baltimore. The past two games the Ravens have given up about an average of 100 total yards on the ground, and the Bears have no one who can eat into Forte's carries. The Bears will need to establish a running game to have any chance.

I think you're on the right track at both positions - I would start that exact grouping of guys at both positions, and I doubt there's any better out there at this point anyway...

I don't, however agree with your reasoning that the Giants Defense is a really tough matchup - they've been soft in the red zone and let a LOT of rushing TDs go through, so if Ganther can get in close, he might vulture 1 or 2 more from Campbell and Co.
