Since your league is a PPR, it's GOT to be Mason this week. Both BALT WRs Kelly Washington & Mark Clayton are yet to practice this week and either or both may not even suit up sunday at home vs the Bears, which means beaucoup targets for Derrick Mason who has been solid as of late, except for the week before last @ Green Bay, which isn't terribly surprising frankly. The Ravens are STILL alive for a potential Wildcard berth believe it or not, so sunday's game is a "must-win" for them, so Flacco's primary targets will be Mason and to a lesser extent, TE Todd Heap. For the record, I have chosen to start Mason over Roddy White, who will have his own hands full w/ Jets superstar corner Darrelle Revis.
As for Meachem, YES, he has been hot with 6 TDs in the five games but that was PRIOR to last week @ Atlanta where he failed to score. He is now starting opposite Colston, and while the Saints are an offensive juggernaut of sorts (esp. thru the air) Brees makes no bones about spreading the ball around, and in pressure situations he still tends to look Colston's way, not to mention that Reggie Bush and Devery Henderson are suddenly seeing increased targets as opposing defenses are keying more on Meachem. Finally, Dallas' secondary is underrated and present a formidable task for the Saints should they wish to remain unbeaten. And Dallas will be playing their GUTS out in order to keep pace with the streaking Eagles in the NFC East.
Bottomline, Mason should see DOUBLE the targets that Meachem will due to Brees' many weapons in the passing game, that alone is enough to give Mason the nod bc targets=potential receptions.
