I'm 13-1 in a dynasty league, in the first round of the playoffs, he has a solid team, so who should I start at qb and why? WHIR Start 1 qb, 3wr, 2 rb, 1 te, 1, K, 2 IDP, 6pt all tds, 0.5ppr, 1pt per 10yard rush/rec Starters: WR- Fitz, Colston, Calvin - may have to start S. Rice if Calvin / Fitz don't play RB- AP, Benson TE- Clark -nice 25pt performance already K- Longwell IDP- Willis, Beason
The problem: Palmer @SD- obviously the Henry situation, # 10vs pass, allowed 11tds, Palmer has had 1 big game and they are running the ball a lot
Orton vs Oak- Brandon Marshall meet Namdi, #17 pass def, allowed 14tds, will Denver run on there D or try and pass??
Eli @ Wash - MNF game, Eli has put up good numbers lately, they need to win, #4 vs pass, 13tds allowed, Haynseworth may not play
I think you gotta go with Orton. Oakland averages 31 points against on the road. And also, their defense is the worst your QB's are playing. I think Marshall will have another big game.
I am going to have to agee, I do not like Palmer this week at all. I don't like the matchup and I don't like the Henry situation. I can't rely on Eli as he is all over the place. I would roll with Orton against the Raiders and would feel good about it.
I have to disagree on Orton. Oakland's secondary is the only semi bright spot on the team. They do not give up very many TDs, they do give up some yardage, however. I think if McDaniels is smart, which he is, Moreno will get a ton of touches this week. Also, Oakland playing with a third string QB? Means Denver can get comfortable with a 2TD lead and just running the ball the rest of the game.
I think the Henry situation is going to motivate the Bengals more. They're going to play their hearts out. I say go with Palmer, or if you're worried about it going the other way, go with Manning, who played a heck of a game last week and is fighting for the playoffs. Washington is still a mediocre team.
They are tough choices: I think that i would go eli by a hair over the others Orton outside of Marshall hasnt done much. Marshall also has tough defender. However Marshall is a big play type of guy. Palmer and wr's will be an interesting thing to watch... it depends on how each player deals with grief. I think Ocho will come out motivated. I think Palmer might be the opposite he might just shut down.
Eli has nice big targets and also playmakers and posetion receivers.
TBH i think they all will net 20-25 this weekend for you.
Thanks for the help and goodluck
QB Vick, Schaub RB Rice, Gore, Brad, Hightow, Jacobs WR V Jax, M Will T, Ocho, Marsh, Maclin TE [b]Lewis[/b}
Eli looked real good against the Eagles last Sunday night, but I'm gonna have to say Orton here. He should get 2 TDs and a nice 22 point day. I would have said Eli but the weather may be a factor in WAS
