Down by 86 after Thursday debacle - help with my QB/RB2?

Postby WaCougMBS » Sun Dec 20, 2009 5:00 am

Hey guys - I have the great honor of going against an opponent in my money league who owns Peyton, MJD and Wayne, so I have quite the hole from out of which I must crawl. I'm pretty set at most of my premium positions (RB1, both WRs) and K, D/ST and TE as well, but I really have been racking my brain about who to start at QB and who to start at RB2. I'll post my roster with starters as they are now (and scoring rules), but won't share my thoughts at first so I don't pollute your input - thanks in advance for the help, and WHIR as always!

12-team league using team QBs, .25 PPR and 1 point/25 return yards (standard scoring otherwise). Start - QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, K, D/ST, OT.

My starters:
QB - Steelers (Roethlisberger)
RB - R.Rice, Forsett
WR - AJ, Welker
TE - Gonzalez
K - Bironas
D/ST - Broncos

My bench:
QB - Campbell
RB - F.Jackson, A. Foster, Turner
WR - Meachem
D/ST - Bengals

I like Forsett over Foster or anyone else in your RB roster, and I don't like Ben but I don't trust Campbell so it's hard to see how you roll the dice here.

On the QB front, a question for you - would you start Campbell over Brady? Do you want to start Campbell because you think he'll do well or because you think Ben won't do well?

I think Campbell will play pretty well, but I don't know if he'll outperform Big Ben (and Roethlisberger has more blow-up potential/ability to throw 3+ TDs, even against a tough D) :-?

This is who I had in at first, but I'm scared stiff that something will happen and I'll get "Kubiaked" :-o Foster has some serious potential this week, but he's also got a much "better" chance of laying an egg since he could get benched for a fumble or missed protection much more quickly than my other guys. Forsett getting credit in the punting game, and Mora coming out yesterday and saying that they'll split carries by alternating series makes me think I have to go JF here and pray he gets me into the middle double digits :-o

Sounds like Turner is going to start, but does that really change anything? I have started the week with Jackson in there, then have switched from Foster to Forsett and it's driving me CRAZY X-I
