San Diego Chargers week 16 (FINALS) *WHIR*

Postby mshab61 » Mon Dec 21, 2009 2:21 pm

I’ve made it to the final but I’m concerned that the Chargers will rest their key players because of the short week plus they pretty much have the #2 seed wrapped up.
I have Antonio Gates as my TE and might think about sitting him Christmas night @ Tennessee. Fortunately I have Vernon Davis as my Flex (picked him up on waivers week 6 on bye ;-D ).

These two guys have carried me down the stretch. If I sit Gates I would use one of the following as my Flex: Austin Collie vs. Jets (P. Manning is my QB), Santana Moss vs. Cowboys, or my wildcard John Carlson @ Packers.

I’m intrigued with Carlson because I can see Seattle playing from behind in this game. I also like Collie because Revis will have his hands full with Wayne but who’s to say that Manning plays the entire game, that’s another problem I need to deal with. It gets real tough this time of the season. This is a PPR league by the way. Any thoughts?

San Diego still needs one more win or New England loss to wrap up the #2 seed, as I understand it. Not that I don't fully expect one of those two things to happen, but I think the Chargers would prefer not to need Wk. 17 to do it. They won't sit their starters at Tennessee.

Stick with Gates.

1 - GATES
2 - S Moss
3 - Collie
4 - Carlson

IF GATES PLAYS USE HIM! I'd even think of starting S Moss over Vernon Davis...

Go with Gates unless he is totally said to be limited or held out.

Davis is up and down. You can't afford a "down" in the championship game. Gates will play and he is your man. If not, go with Collie. (Revis will be on Wayne!)

Yea i doubt they sit starters vs. tenn. The way they tenn is playing they will need all their starters to win....and i think thats true bout it not being 100% wrapped up...but id have to double check.
