What's a Good Keeper Lock Date?

Postby TomBrooklyn » Mon Dec 21, 2009 8:02 pm

What's the best date or a good date to require owners to declare their keeper players for the next season?

Is it good to wait until at least a couple of preseason games have been played?

I know in my leagues we usually wait until after AT LEAST the second pre season game. Wait as long as you can. No reason or benefit to declare them earlier than that. Nothing would be worse than someone declaring a keeper then losing them in a pre season game with an ACL or something. That would be lame as hell.

I agree, unless you are having a slow draft and then you might have to declare keepers and start the draft earleir than two weeks prior to the start of the season.

Keepers should be submitted before any drafts happen, obviously. So maybe one week before the draft starts.
