Alright I would just love to get a topic started on the insanely tight AFC playoff picture this year!
So please tell me who you think the two wildcards will be and WHY!! Answer however little or however much you want.

Broncos: overall-(8-7) conference- (6-5)
Ravens: overall-(8-7) conference- (6-4)
Jaguars:overall-(7-7) conference- (6-4)
Dolphins:overall-(7-7) conference- (5-5)

My homerism says that the Jets will win out and I can definitely see the Broncos, Ravens, Jaguars, and Fins all losing this week. Jets will become the 6th seed and the Ravens will be the 5 seed.

Steelers beat Miami in week 17 and the Ravens and Steelers take the 2 wildcard spots. If the Steelers win out and the Jets, Broncos, Jags, and Texans all lose 1 game, the Steelers are in.

Alright Alright, I didn't realize that. Now what if all those same teams lose one game and the Dolphins win out. Because the Phins have the tiebreaker over the Jets, Jags, and Texans. If they win out they'll have a better record than the steelers too.

Do you have any idea what would happen if the Broncos and Phins both ended 9-7?
I guess it would depend on the AFC record. The Phins could end 7-5, while the Broncos have the eagles and chiefs left. They'll probably go 7-5 too.

First tiebreaker is head to head, then conference record, then record in common games (min 4 which they don't have), then strength of victories. If my calculations are correct, they would tie all of it up until strength of victories. At this point, Miami LOSES that tiebreak to Denver so it's looking like it will be very difficult for Miami to make the playoffs at this point even if they do win out. They would need either Baltimore or Denver to lose out which would mean Baltimore losing to both Pittsburgh and Oakland, or Denver losing to both Philly and KC.
