Championship - Serious Help Needed WHIR

Postby Hoyas1 » Wed Dec 23, 2009 8:06 am

Somehow I made it to our championship with 2 upsets. Now I am going against the #1 seed and I am about a 30 point dog. Don't think it will be close but want to put a team that may be competitive. Standard scoring except .5 points per reception.

QB
Alex Smith vs DET
David Garrard vs NE

WR3
Lee Evans vs ATL
Josh Morgan vs DET

FLEX
Jerious Norwood vs BUF
Marice Morris vs SF (helped me reach the finals)
Quinton Ganther vs DAL

I would greatly appreciate any insight you may have and I will help you in return.

Thanks in advance!!!

QB- as much as it pains me to do so I think you go with Garrard simply because he's more talented than Smith at this point. Smith will score but be outperformed by Garrard. The pain comes from my own reliance on him since my other QB- Matt Ryan, has sucked wind this year and hasn't played for a fortnight. Garrard is really good when he's really good and really bad when he's really bad, but he's who you go with.

WR3- belying by Smith blast above, I think you go with Morgan vs. DET. Good matchup and ppr potential.

Flex- out of those three I'd say go w/ Morris. Ganther scored Monday but the Redskins are an abomination. However, if you can, go out and get Jason Snelling if he's available. Norwood is nicked up and Snelling gets all of the goal line work.

Good luck!

I agree with the above post except for your QB.

The Patriots have a chip on their shoulder and they're playing at home against Jacksonville. The weather forecast looks like it might rain, too. I agree that Garrard is the more experienced QB, but the matchup Smith has is pretty appealing, and he's playing at home. I think Singletary will continue to test Smith to see if he's their starting QB next year.
