I sat Peyton last week due to this concern and I paid big. Still, I'd go with Smith this week.

Help me too? viewtopic.php?f=19&t=466053

I think you have to go with Smith against the Lions; can't risk having Manning benched early.

This is a tough one. You gotta figure, even if Peyton plays just a half, you'll likely get 180-200 yards and 2 TD's with no picks. I'm thinking this game will be close into the 4th quarter, so Manning will likely play into the second half. Even if they are thinking of playing manning a limited amount of time, The colts may even play him the first drive of the second half, which could easily be a TD drive.

Smith has been lighting it up, and should have a big game. For me personally, I couldn't ride Peyton Manning all year, just to bench him in the title game for fear his playing time will be cut in half. You bench him and he goes for 300 yards and 3 TD's in 3 quarters, you will be kicking your own ass for months.

If I'm you, I start my stud and watch him do what he does best.

Help with one or both of mine? I'm in both championship games and in need of some serious help.

My gut is telling me that the Colts want history, and one up on the Pats. I think Peyton will play this week (Wayne may be the only one who gets the rest dur to need), and if they win they just may go for it in week 17. If they lose all rest for two weeiks.

Go with Peyton, and go for it.

Thanks for the hepl on mine.

I agree, I think you have to play Peyton. SF will be up early and run Gore and Coffee the rest of the day. I agree the Jags will keep it close and Peyton may play into the 3rd quarter at least.

I would rather have Manning for 1 quarter than Smith. They will run the ball all day on the Lions.

Don't over think this one. Peyton plays at least 3 quarters and puts up 250+ with 2 or 3 TD's.

With a chance of playing the whole game. Colts want history.

He is unbenchable.

Go with Manning. You can't rely on Smith.

So the Colts activated a practive squad QB to have 3 QB's on their active roster. They haven't had 3 active in 6 weeks. If I didn't already have fear of Manning playing little, now I am convinced.

That change anybodies opinion?
