Also can't count out the Raiders (sounds strange to say) against the Ravens...they may not have won a lot of games this year, but the games they did win were against good teams (Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Denver) and so anything can happen. I'm not banking on it but stranger things have happened.

Since their bye, Oakland has alternated wins and losses and lost last week. During that period, they've lost to KC (1-7), Dal (7-3), Was (3-9) and Cle (3-11). They've beaten Cin (7-2), Pit (6-5) and Den (8-5).

It's going to sound like homerism, but... the Jets definitely have the best shot. They are playing a Cincinnati team that has nothing to play for and I am sure they will be resting players.

Shhhhh. Don't say things like this!! Haven't you been a Jet fan long enough to see the writing on the wall? The build up, leading to the crushing, Earth shattering let down? Let us just pray for the next 6 days. Pray that there is mercy in 2009 for us.

As a Pats fan, as much as I hate the Jets, I have to say that I consider them deserving of a wildcard spot. A couple of things stand out from their season. The first was beating us in week #2, which really forced the new guys to mature faster, as most games were must-wins. The second standout from the Jets was being the ONLY team to shut out the Raiders. Everyone else talked about how bad the Raiders were, but only the Jets kept them scoreless.
Soooo, even though the Colts had to throw a game to make it possible for the Jets to get a wildcard, I still think they're the most deserving team of those in the running. I feel like they brought their A-game this season and just got outplayed in their losses. The other teams were more up and down.
May this be the only time I root for the Jets, lol.
