Last Minute Trade for Harrison for championship game

Postby FantasySportsMaven » Thu Dec 31, 2009 8:01 pm

PPR Dynasy league:
I give L. McCoy, K. Smith
and
I get Harrison and A. Bryant

I also have James Davis, Cribbs and C. Jennings so getting Harrison would give me Clevelands RB1 next year. K. Smith's knee surgery puts him on the PUP list for the benginning of next year, and MCoy still has Westy in front of him and splits time with Weaver right now.

Should I do this deal

I like K. Smith's potential, but the trade looks fair. Its up to your preference on it.

Harrison racked up his yards against the raiders and the chiefs using 2 te sets and a fullback.

That is alot of people to make Harrison look good.

No way I make this trade in a dynasty league.

Why all the Browns?

Agree.
Kevin Smith is solid and McCoy will probably be the #1 RB in Philly next year as they will probably give Westbrook his walking papers.
Harrison may not even be the starting RB next year.

Didn't do any of the deals, so I guess I'll try and win with playing Grant and Ricky Williams as my RBs.... Worse part is that the other guy is playing Gore and Moreno.

I hate week 17 championship games. :-P

This is the classic win now vs build for the future argument. I don't like this trade for you because I don't feel it puts you in a better position to win. Then it hurts you significantly in the future.

Miami has something to play for so Ricky should be ok. Its Grant I worry about. I don't believe they can improve upon their position and I'm reading the starters might play a half. Hopefully at the half Grant has 2 TD's. :-D

This is why you MUST have your championship games last week. Its beyond stupid to have them the last game of the season. I mean what is this? FF has been around too long to have leagues that still do this. With that being said, If its between win now or build for later, you ALWAYS go for the win now.

Well, once 11am came and went, it was too late to make a trade which would clear 48 hour review before gametime, so, I'll be picking 4 RBs from Charles, Grant, LJ, Moats, Ricky Williams, Forsett, or McCoy.

Think I'll post in the who to start forum for more advice on this dang game.
Thanks to everyone that helped!

thanks for the help on mine....sorry i was late getting to yours but i think you did ok, Definitely agree that winning now is always more important than in the future. especially when you've already made it to the SB game. good luck with it.

Also agree-you need to move your superbowl up a week next year.
