Bench Aaron Rodgers?

Postby iAstoNish » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:10 pm

I have A.Rod starting, but I'm not sure how much playing time he is going to see this week.

My WW options are Flacco @ Okland, Alex Smith @ STL, Vince Young @ Seattle, M. Moore @ NO

Also wondering if I should bench Jeramichael Finley for a WW option. Kellen Winslow and Fred Davis are both on the WW in my league still.

What do you guys think?

I'm having the same dilema. So let's look at what the teams are playing for.....GB vs. Ari. GB already has the wild card spot locked..and Arizona gets a 2 seed with a win IF Minny and Philly lose. There isn't much to play for either team and chances are they will face each other in the first round of the playoffs. The thing that scares me the most is the history of GB. The last two times GB was in this posistion they played their starters until the half then rested them....sigh :-t

I'm going to have to sit Aaron....I can't have happen what Manning did to his owners last week. I rank your WW options as follows:

Smith
Flacco
Young
Moore

good luck ;-D

Ahh it is a shitty dilemma indeed, since Rodgers has been such a beast this year.

I was looking at adding Smith, but do you think A.Rod can put up better numbers in a half then Smith can in a game? Also, Aaron Rodgers is less than 300 yards from breaking the Packer's single season franchise passing record for most yards in a single season. Do you think that will play a role in how much play time they give to Rodgers?

I like the F. Davis option. In my league with rodgers, I am starting A. Smith. Would avoid V. Young ... I think the titans will go run heavy, and Johnson is too dangerous to expect him to miss the end zone if given enough chances.

I like Smith at STL. Oakland has a good secondary and Balt will be running the ball. Moore lost his best option in Smith and now Mush could be getting doubled. Vince, as much as I love the guy, is going to be handing it off all day to get CJ his records.

I also like the Fred Davis option - he's become a focal point of the Skins O.

I think you have to go another option here, and in doing that go with another TE besides Finley aswell
qbs I'd rank as follows
Smith
Moore(even with SS he's going against NO scrub d)
Flacco
Young

Winslow and Davis are both good te options this week imo and I'd give the edge to Davis but could flip either way

Funny I keep reading that NE and Cincy have nothing to play for. They do three and four seeds but the packers can be no better than the 5 and odds are they play this game next week at arizona. I would bench all my packers. I would not be afraid of VY at all seattle has quit, if your league rewards rushing yardage start young
