Home Network Help

Postby SeaWolf » Sun Jan 10, 2010 5:01 am

Our main PC is XP, and have had only 1 computer in our home until recently. We now a 3 more computers (desktop, laptop, & netbook) all Windows 7. The printer I have is not wireless and connects directly into the XP. I want to share the printer with the new computers. I have been unsuccessful in doing so. I can get all 3 Windows 7s to see each other but not the XP. The XP sees nothing. I tried searching on the web but all I can see is how to share a printer connected to Windows 7 to XP but not the other way around.
I'm decent with computers but until last month have never dealt with a in home network. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you checked the firewalls on all of the computers? I don't know much about 7 as I haven't used it yet, but its worth a try.
