First off....thanks for all the help winning my first FF Championship....14 team keeper league..!!!!
Thinking about next year....We keep 3 and I have some tuff decisions to make on my keepers.
Also....I pick last because I am the champion...thats a long time to wait...ugh.
Chris Johnson - no brainer....(MVP for my team)
Need to pick 2 from the following -
Big Ben - Very solid year, but not sure if he is a keeper Roddy White - Solid year and I like his upside on an up and coming team Percy Harvin - Electric rookie season Dallas Clark - Best TE in football on the best offense in football Ricky Williams - comeback player of the year, but stats inflated with Ronnies injury
Im thinking....CJ, Roddy and Dallas
Im thinking Dallas b/c it is the position with the least amount of depth...and it is such a HUGE advantage week to week knowing my TE will crush my opponents TE (unless its Gates, Witten or Gonzo)
Thanks for all the help and happy new year!!!
THE GREATER HARTFORD FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE 2009 Champion - 14 Team, 3 Keeper League QB - Vick, Kolb RB - CJ, Felix, Best, Mo Morris, Ringer WR - R White, Wallace, Breaston TE - Boss, Watson, D Clark (IR) D - Steelers, Lions K - Janikowski, Cundiff
Chris Johnson - duh Dallas Clark - having the best TE is very underrated, you'll be +3-5 points every week on any matchup there
Your third spot is a tossup between Roddy White and Percy Harvin. Harvin had a great year, but with Favre slinging the ball all over the place. If you think Minny will have a competent QB next year then Harvin probably has a higher ceiling, but if they go back to Tavaris Jackson or some rookie then I'd cut bait with him for the safer bet. If you have to declare keepers before you know Minny's QB situation next year then go with White.
I agree with your picks, CJ (no brainer), White and Clark. Normally I wouldn't keep a te, but if you compare his stats to other wr's you are getting probably top 10 production from a te. If you let Clark go you most likely won't get him back and wont' be able to make up the lost production. Good luck.
