In a 10 team league w/ 6 pts for passing td's I can keep 3 players. We get 2 rb, 2 wr, and a flex. I'm definitely keeping Gore and Charles. Then I have to choose between Peyton, DeAngelo Williams/ J Stewart, and Beanie Wells. I won the league by stacking rb, but it was nice having a steady anchor at qb. Right now I'm leaning towards whoever is the starting Carolina rb (I guess DeAngelo unless there's a trade or injury before the draft). Then I would draft a qb (probably either Schaub or Brady falls to me based on who people need/ are likely to keep). Unless I really like a wr (Santonio Holmes) at that spot, I'll likely try to snag a 4th rb (Stewart or Beanie Wells, maybe even someone like Brandon Jacobs). I could also fall back on good value picks that fall to me at 10/11 and shoot for Roethlisburger in round 3.
My league allows teams to trade their keeper slots for draft picks. There's 3 teams with no solid keeper options. Would it be worthwhile for me to trade my 1st and 4th picks for a keeper slot and a 6th rd pick? That trade would effectively be Peyton and a Jeremy Macklin type receiver for Schaub and a Steve Smith (NY) type receiver (no idea what I would be able to land with 61st pick). My gut is to go with Manning and scramble for wr depth late in the draft. It worked out perfectly fine for me this year. It's not too hard to land Cotchery + 3 or 4 Donnie Avery/ Antonio Bryant types and hope that 1+ of them hit. Seem like a good idea?
