Well another season of fantasy is over with and I'm frustrated yet again. I went 13-1 in the regular season and then lost both of my playoff games to finish in 4th spot, I was not very happy. So I'm in a 10 team dynasty league (meaning we keep every player), we have a 3 rd rookie draft each year, standard scoring league, 0.5 ppr, 6pts all tds. So I traded away my first rd pick for this coming year for Ced Benson after I lost R. Brown for the season. Here is what I am thinking. The player with the first over all pick needs help every where, the 2nd needs wr help and the 3rd guy needs help everywhere also. I was thinking of offering up S. Rice and Benson or Brown to get the first rd picks and get more youth on my team. What do you think? Should I stick with my roster and just hope for better luck in the playoffs or should I trade away some depth for some youth on my team. Thanks for looking. WHIR Roster: (# of starters) QB- Palmer, Eli, Ryan, Orton (1) WR- Fitz, Calvin, Colston, Rice, Schielens, Massaquoi (3) RB- AP, DWill, Benson, Brown, Caddy, C. Taylor, M. Bush, B. Scott, Snelling (2) TE- D. Clark, O. Daniels (1)

I would feel very comfy going into next year with that team. You are already young everywhere.
Palmer, Eli, Ryan will be around for years.
Calvin under performed last year but has the talent to be very good if the team around him can help. Fitz is awesome period. Colston showed that he can still put up decent numbers on a team with a million options. Rice looks like he has finally come into his own. Hopefully Favre stays another year.
AP, DWill, Benson, Brown (if he comes back) and Caddy are solid options. You have the handcuffs of a few.
If you really wanted to trade for a first rounder trade for 1 not 2. You never know what you are going to get. I would not trade Benson or Rice for a first though unless it was an early first and you are very high on a particular guy. I like certainty though. I saw Benson and Rice do well so I believe they can do it again.

Hey thanks for your input on my topic. I agree with the above post, your team is pretty much set and you have alot of young talent. You never know what you will get in the rookie draft, I remember my first year in FF I took rookie RB M Bennet instead of fellow rookie L Tomlinson...clearly I failed on that one. Stick with what is proven and roll the dice with your current roster.
Dynasty Team- QB,2RB,2WR,TE,K,Def QB - P Rivers J Cuter M Cassel RB - D McFadden J Best S Green D Thomas D Murray J Ringer WR - C Johnson L Fitzgerald S Holmes E Sanders D Thomas TE - F Davis O Daniels K - M Bryant R Lindell D - Chargers 49ers
If you can trade Brown for a first round pick, I'd do that. But I wouldn't make a move for two first rounders because your team is pretty solid. However, if you can trade off Brown and pick up CJ Spiller or Jonathan Dwyer (depending on what teams they land on) I think you'll come out pretty alright in the long run.
I agree with Cowboys for life, I would not trade Benson and S. Rice for the first pick. That is way too much. I don't feel like there is a can't miss prosect in this draft like an Adrian Peterson. I see Spiller as another Reggie Bush kind of player. I don't see him lining up in the backfield and getting 20-25 carries a game. I see him with about 8-10 carries and catching 4-5 balls a game. His value will be much higher in a PPR. Try to move Ronnie Brown for a first round pick. The guy just can't stay healthy.
Benson and Rice way to much for #1......S Rice...depending on qb next year could be top 5 WR.......Benson a strong #2 rb....
Stay with what you have and trade for known commodities you have 4 of the top 10 WR....there is value there....also..I would look to trade one of your young Qb's for one in this class......I like McCoy...let the draft shake and offer Eli for Mccoy....would be interesting.....
2- I think that going 13-1 shows that your team is fine and you are just overreacting to losing the two playoff games. Sometimes life just kicks you in privates for no good reason.
