There's another program out there that's gaining in popularity called The Perfect Punch by Jay Glazer. Thinking about giving it a shot after we're done or bored with P90X. Supposed to be a lot easier on the joints.

Thanks!

Jay Glazer has a fitness program? Interesting. Always up to try new stuff out - except Insanity. Screw Insanity.

I will not do insanity either. That looks like murder on the knees.

Speaking of other programs, have you heard anything about YRG, from Diamond Dallas Page?

The YRG Fitness System is my own kick-butt combination of old-school calisthenics, basic yoga principles, core strength-training, Pilates, mixed-martial arts and my "secret sauce," Dynamic Resistance, which teaches you how to engage your muscles in every aspect of the workout by resisting or pressing against each move.

The video on the website makes it look like a lot of yoga.

I don't 'spose you know of any good beginner yoga videos? The first 45-minutes of P90X's yoga about killed me and I'd rather avoid it - but I've heard that yoga is one of the most important aspects of the program and I'd like to get into it... just slowly.

...although maybe I answered my own question... DDP to the rescue?

I hate the yoga. They claim you get used to it, but it's still the worst video for me. So unfortunately, I don't have any good yoga suggestions aside from avoiding it at all costs.

Good deal Joe. Everyone, including myself gave up on it. My brother reached the 100 plateau. I was in the 80 range I believe when we picked up P90X. They're coming out with a new P90X so I'm interested to see what that's all about.

Cuna, we ended up using a Jillian video to get through our yoga sessions. She's annoying as hell, but the workout is so much easier, especially if the stretch and hold stuff is difficult for you like they are me. You still feel it though, so still a solid workout.
