We have had this dynasty league for 3 years. I have been to the playoffs all three years and I have been to the super bowl twice. I have never won the league. I want that to change next year. What should I do in order to take it all next year?
QB Scoring- 6 pt all TD, 1 pt every 50 yards passing, 1 pt every 10 yards rushing
RB/WR/TE scoring- 6 pt all TD, 1 pt every 10 yards rush/rec, 1 PPR
My team: Qb- M. Ryan, A. Smith, V. Young
RB- Jones-Drew, Deangelo Williams, J. Stewart, S. Greene, P. Thomas, T. Choice, J. Snelling, B. Scott
WR- Andre Johnson, B. Marshall, Berrian, Edeleman, L. Moore, Meacham
I see you got a trade through since last time I saw your squad. Your RBs are very deep.
The weakness is at QB. I don't like Ryan as much as some... he's a good QB on a running team. He reminds me of Troy Aikman - solid QB that wins games but not necessarily put up big fantasy numbers. Young has some upside but is no where near a starter at this point. Same goes for Smith.
At this juncture, I put my QBs into these tiers: Tier 1: Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Brady
Tier 2: Schaub, Rivers, Big Ben, Romo
I would dangle Pierre Thomas and Matt Ryan for a tier-2 QB. You are plenty deep enough at RB to lose Thomas (and coming off an impressive outing in the NFC championship game -- sell high!!!) for a QB.
Adding one of those QBs to your still deep RB crew, along with solid WRs and TEs, would give you a very formidable squad, and I can't imagine it not being the favorite to win it all in your league.
Solid advice from Indi. That is the one thing I see holding you back as well, the elite QB. I would also be looking at getting your WR3 upgraded. I assume you have draft picks as well... target a team with 2 top QB's and get yourself a deal cut.
Yea, I love Andre and Brandon at WR but I would really look to move a RB and Ryan and maybe Berrian for a better depth at WR... I don't really love anyone aside fromWR1 and WR2.

Qb- Schaub, Kolb, A. Smith, V. Young, Whitehurst
Rb- MJD, Deangelo, J. Stewart, Spiller, T. Choice, B. Scott
WR- Andre Johnson, B. Marshall, D. Hester, Meacham, L. Moore, Berrian, Eidelman
TE- V. Davis, G. Olsen
What do you guys think?
I like that you addressed your QB situation. You have a stud in Schaub and a guy with huge upside in Kolb as your #2.
I don't think you need 5 QBs, unless you start 2 QBs. Your other 3 have reasonable upside... but I think you need to dump 2 of them and pickup some depth at RB and WR.
If I had your QBs, I would probably keep Young as my "developmental" QB... his game still has room to grow, and I think he has the highest upside. I think he is a risky prospect, but having the 2 QBs you have in front of him, the risk/reward ratio is acceptable IMHO.

Preach it! I still would like to see some more depth at WR. RB looks good for a while too, but maybe some more WR help, I'm just not sold on Hester & Co., maybe make a run at Dez or another young gun for 2-3 years done the road...

Feel your pain about the last 2 years...finishing 2nd 2x.
How may active/reserve? 2 or 3 WR?
Any cap? If not, I'd expect you to be more dominant by now Tru-niner. It looks like you've done relatively little to build your future tense in past years (I like Spiller and the sleeper potential of Whitehurst). You need to do that more, especially with WR.
Trade either Kolb or A. Smith, AND Young. You've got your stud in Schaub. Klob is probably too valuable to have as a #2. A. Smith would do. You could get something good for Kolb - I'd get Buffalo's Jackson and a future pick.
I'd handcuff RBs. Buffalo's Jackson would give you 3rd team depth - even Lynch. Don't forget Rashard Jennings. Get rid of Choice and Scott.
