PETA's newest crusade

Postby houstonherdfan » Wed Jan 27, 2010 12:51 pm

Puxatauny Phil needs to be replaced with a robotic stand in. dumbest think I have heard from them yet.

You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.

The truly is dumb. Nearly as dumb as the whole Groundhog Day/Puxatauny Phil presentation itself.

tens of thousands of revelers? seriously? Is Pennsylvania that boring?

William Deeley, president of the Inner Circle of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, says the animal is “being treated better than the average child in Pennsylvania.” The groundhog is kept in a climate-controlled environment and is inspected annually by the state Department of Agriculture.

Really? the average child in Pennsylvania doesn't have heating and cooling in their home or schools, or get to see an exam once a year?

Seriously. They made a documentary about it that's pretty interesting. The place is crowded, big-time. It's a pretty good documentary. You should check it out.

Maybe more people will join PETA because of this, and you'll get your wish. :-b

For me, every time I see PETA do something like this, it just reinforces me to eat even more dead animals. B-)
