i prefer a dry rub and then hit it with some Uncle Bobs Table Sauce at the end

sounds tasty, almost as good as ribs smothered in Chaka's. :-B

I thought we'd covered this. Anything out of a jar is going to be second-best to what you make yourself.

I generally agree with you, but a Chaka's is just SO damn good. I've tried, but just I haven't been able to replicate it...not even close. I think Chaka might be putting meth in his sauce or something.

Holy crap! Is it my birthday? I can't remember the last time I had my salad tossed! 8-o

Do you have access to quality tomatoes scott? Or at least quality cherry tomatoes? You should make caprese salad, that would go fantastic with eggplant parmagianni. That leatuce-less salad will go well too though. ;-D

Kinda gloomy here too but I'm thinking burgers tonight...wait no, I never had grilled pizza last week. It's so on. :-?

I thought those two salads were one in the same?

Yeah I pickedup the produce at the farmer's market this morning. fresh tomatoes, cucumber, red and yellow bell pepper, onion. still have black olive and feta from when I made it last week.

so what's the caprese salad, if it's not the lettuce0less salad?

caprese is just tomatoes, fresh basil, soft mozzerella, oil and vinegar. ;-D

Oh. we call that something differente here. ;-)

since I'm gunna layer some tomatoe slices/basil leaves/mozza in with the eggplant, it'd be a bit redundant as the salad, so I'm gunna stick with the pepper salad ;-D
