Steelers sign Hampton, franchise Reed

Hampton is signed for 3 years, $21 million, $11 guaranteed. That's a reasonable contract I think... he's got at least two reasonable years left I'd hope (though we're starting to see age already), so we'll see if he makes it for all three of those years, but it's not a bad deal.

It still probably makes sense to look at NT in the draft, if only because the draft seems deep at DL this year... do teams often/ever keep a 2nd NT around?

With all the 1st round DT talent floating around the draft this year, I hope the Steelers can nab on of the big fellas up to sit behind Hampton for a year or so.
