Constitution: Gridiron Dogs Football League- Dynasty Football!!

2010 will be our FOURTH YEAR!!

*****SCORING******

Above are all the necessary scoring and roster specifications for Gridiron Dogs. We include receptions for WR, RB's, and TE's, plus we have a points for every yard gained in passing/rushing instead of points for ever group of yards.

*****IR********

The four IR spots are for injured players ONLY. The NFL only allows players that are out for the season on IR, and that's what we use ours for.

*****PRACTICE SQUAD*******

Simple is best. I personally, (as a commissioner, and a player), dislike forcing players out of the PS, or constant movement by the owners. Both defeat the purpose of the developmental aspect of the rosters spots, and make the PS an extension of the reserves rosters, and I hate that. So,...we will allow only rookie players, for clarification sake, the means not one down in the NFL. Before the season starts, your PS must be declared on the league message board, even if it is a carry over. A online list will be provided, and if any player is moved onto the teams roster, and then back again, the team will automatically lose the player. For this reason, any player during the season moved out of the PS, requires a message sent to the league through the message board. CBS does not have PS factors that help me in the governing of the rules of these roster spots, so this is the way it is until further notice.

****Plus, at the start of the year, before the draft, any practice squad players you don't want to carry over must be dropped with the rest of the non keepers, and the remaining must be declared to the commissioner. If the CBS system kicks the players out of the P.S. while you are working on your lineup, I have a current list of P.S. players, and can be viewed at: http://sites.google.com/site/gridirondo ... squad/Home

******ILLEGAL ROSTERS****

Illegal rosters will NOT be fixed by the commissioner especially after the scoring period has started. As from personal experience, it just causes too many problems. I do not know who you wish to have in or out of your lineup, nor do I know who you wish to drop, plus your opponent may cry foul if I adjust a lineup of the team he is playing against. You are responsible for your lineups,...period. I will e-mail an illegal lineup to the owner telling him to fix the lineup, before the weeks scoring period.

*****FAAB*****

Free agent claims will made by using FAAB, (free agent acquisition budget). This replaces the old boring waiver claims in most common leagues. The difference here is you bid silently on free agent pick ups with a budget that is set at the start of the season. If you bid more for the FA than anyone else in the league, you win the player. The nights that this is done is called 'FAAB processing', and I have them to running everynight @ midnight except Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The budget for 2010 will be $75.00 for the entire year.

*****END OF FREE AGENCY******

In the past we have ended free agency a couple of weeks before the playoffs. Instead we will let it go until the playoffs are over. FAAB budgets will be tightened, and any team that is NOT in the playoffs is not allowed to drop a player with a higher ownership than 85%. Altering the available free agent pool, and therefore effecting the playoff teams, and playoffs.

*****NEW SEASON******

On August 1st of any given year, you will be required to have your league fees paid in full. We are going to strictly to an online site called "league safe", which was introduced two years ago as a holding company that works strictly for fantasy league commissioners.

48 hours before the set draft date and time for any given season, trading will end, and your roster must be cut to 19 players in time for the draft. After the 11 round draft ends, we will open the free agent pool with the limited FAAB budget for the season, and the trading window will open once again.

IR players can be carried over from your current season ending IR, if they are on the IR, or PUP list to start the season. If they are fit, and participating in the training camp and preseasonn, they cannot be carried over. Grey areas will be determined by the commissioner. Read above for practice squad carry overs.

*****DRAFT******

On a date to be determined, we will still have a 11 round draft. The draft will be an all free agent draft from start to finish. Rookies or veterans will be mixed, and the draft will come from that pool of players. It will also feature the first three rounds being non snake, with round 4 starting the snake draft and carrying it until the end of the draft. The draft size is bigger than our needs, so our rosters will be illegal, so you will either assign players to the practice squad, or drop.

******PLAYOFFS*******

Three Tier Playoff Format:

Tier One: Championship Tier: The top three Division winners, and one wildcard with the best record after the the division winners will form the money or Championship round. They will be reseeded based on record, and the matchups will come from that.

Tier Two will be teams 5 through 8
Tier Three will be teams 9 through 12

All teams after the playoffs will be seeded according to 'power' rankings from the standings scroll down. This category takes in three separate team strengths or weaknesses, and a great way to determine draft rankings. The 'Superbowl' winner will automatically get last pick, and the 'Superbowl' loser will automatically get second last pick despite power rankings.

This will prevent tanking, as it is difficult to determine how your team mismanagement will effect power rankings.

$50.00 to get in. Prizes are listed on the main page.
