Inherited Dynasty Team - WHIR

Postby rnestrick » Sun Apr 18, 2010 1:59 pm

I'm looking for some advice on moves I have made already, as well as what I should try to do as our draft approaches (in bold are probable starters - I know, TO doesn't even have a team yet).... It is a dynasty league, ppr

I inherited:
QBs - Palmer, Henne, Pennington, Garrard
RBs - Gore, R.Brown, Portis, Caddy, LT, and A.Brown
WRs - M.Crabtree, A.Bryant, TO, H.Ward, DHB, Robskie, and Northcutt
TEs - Celek, Keller
K - Bironas
DEF - CIN
Picks: 1.1, 2.12, 3.1, 4.12, 5.1

Thanks for the input on mine.(viewtopic.php?t=466965)

Building the team thru the draft and free agency is more fun and goes faster than you would think. Be careful not to mortgage future studs for current ones too often.

Draft Spiller with your top pick despite what others here will tell you about Bryant's talent. Dynasty teams are made with your rb's. The qb and wr positions are too much of a crap-shoot to draft a rookie that high.

Could not agree more ;-D

I like the moves that you made and think that you should be sitting pretty good going into the draft and season. I think you need to hang on to TO, he will land somewhere and even if he doesn't start the season on your team, you will get some value for him.

Personally, I don't like the move for Klob, but you slimmed down your roster.

Now that you've secured some better RBs, I'd deal that first round pick for a combo WR/lower 1st Round Pick. Your future-tense is terrible at WR. What did you get for Crabtree? Then draft Bryant or another promising rookie or two. You should be able to get him at 6.

Handcuffs are important in dynasty too. Try to secure these and or use your 3rd-? round draft picks to get them.

Help with mine? http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=468517
