Redskins acquired DT Adam Carriker from the Rams for an exchange of fifth-round picks.

The Rams will send over the fifth-rounder they acquired from Philly in return for the Redskins' fifth rounder. The low return suggests the Rams are convinced Carriker will never stay healthy and regain his first-round form. Jim Haslett has been pushing to be reunited with Carriker since he got the Skins' coordinator job a couple of months ago, and Carrkier is a better fit in the 3-4 defense. His addition makes it much more likely that Albert Haynesworth will be dealt in the next few days
