NEW YORK (AP)—Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger(notes) will be suspended for four to six games for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, according to a person with knowledge of the decision.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on Wednesday on the condition of anonymity because the league hasn’t announced its decision.
Last week, prosecutors decided not to charge Roethlisberger after a 20-year-old college student accused him of sexually assaulting her in a Georgia nightclub in March.
That sucks. They lose their #1 wideout, and then franchise QB for at least a quarter of the season?

Not to beat a topic that was beat to death previously, but Holmes was NOT their #1 WR. I would even go as far as saying that Wallace would have pushed him for the #2 spot this year. He's way too unreliable to be considered #1. The Steelers would not have dumped their #1 WR for a 5th round pick, no matter what his problems are.
Not surprised. I figured 4-6 weeks. Without pay hurts. The guy has been getting into some bad situations lately however I'm not sure he wasn't set up by money hungry b!atches. He needs to settle down though for sure.
I don't think many teams will want him but we will see.

#1, #2...whatever. He still got 1,200 yards last year.

x2. The fact is, one of the top two WRs is gone. Whether a glorified possession receiver is #1, or the guy Ben trusts in the corner of the end zone with the SB on the line is, is irrelevant.
