Trade Crabtree for 1.7 rookie anc Curtis Lofton in dynasty?

Postby matttyl315 » Tue May 18, 2010 1:00 pm

Should I part ways with Crabtree, Lee Evans, and Lofa Tatupu for the #7 rookie pick, Curtis Lofton and Chester Taylor?

Mathews, Spiller, Bryant and Best will all be gone by that pick, Tate and Hardesty most likely as well. I could get D Thomas (Den WR), and I get a nice upgrade at LB, as well as Forte's handcuff. I'd never really ever start Evans or Tatupu, so they are just throw ins. Some other rookie might come in to play in preseason, thus dropping one of the above mentioned to me at #7.

Current Roster -
A Rodgers, Campbell, Freeman, Hass
R Rice, Mendenhall, Beanie Wells, Forte, Bernard Scott
Calvin Johnson, Roddy White, B Marshall, Crabtree, Bowe, Antonio Bryant, Cribbs (we get return yards), Evans
Finley, V Davis
Cole, Mathis, R Edwards
Beason, D Ryans, Mayo, Tatupu, Durant
Roman Harper, Delmas, T Jackson

Any other thoughts on my roster would be greatly appreciated!!

I totally agree, but he's my #4 right now, maybe #5. I can get D Thomas at 7, and pick up a stud LB and a RB handcuff in the process.

hell no. Even if he was your #7 WR you don't get less then value for him because that's all you can get. Unless you can get Dez you keep Crabtree, LB's are easy to find, he'd be ripping you off tremendously if he was able to get Crabtree for that pick. A future WR1 is worth alot more then the 7th pick in a pretty weak draft, Thomas is a complete crapshoot and nowhere near the prospect Crabtree was.

That pretty much sums it up. LB are fairly easy to find, and LB's holding up from year to year as elite is a crapshoot at best. Keep Crabtree.

Exactly, plus you can always find an injury to plug in a LB.

I'd be trying to shop Vernon Davis coming off that riduculous season for a guy who wants to overpay, Finley is going to out play him if you ask him and Davis will get you more.

I would want to keep 4 strong WR's, so even during bye weeks/injuries you always have a dominant set to roll with.

So you all think the dropoff in dynasty production from a Crabtree to a Demaryius Thomas isn't worth a top 5 dynasty LB?
